The Bret H. Chernik Amputee Foundation was formed in 1998. Bret was an aspiring hockey official when he stopped to help a stranded motorist and was hit by a car, which resulted in the amputation of his left leg. In addition to helping Bret with the medical expenses he incurred from the loss of a limb, the Foundation provides a unique opportunity to help make a difference in the lives and futures of people who have experienced limb loss.Foundation News
